L. Andreuccetti

Canvasback Pair

A rare pair of canvasbacks by Luigi Andreuccetti (Sacramento, CA) ca. 1940's. Solid redwood construction. I can't be certain, but, the white on the drakes back may mostly be a later second coat. The remainder on both is excellent and original. Both have glass eyes. The keels have been removed. Both measure approximately 12" in length. See pages 504-512 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller for additional information on this important California maker.

Price: $5500

Amiel Garibaldi

Very rare and early (c 1920's) canvasback drake (style 2) by the highly collectible early CA decoy maker Amiel Garibaldi of Sacramento.  This example is in moderatley worn original paint.  There is a tight neck crack.  Measures 13.5" in length.  See pages 326-333 of Wildfowl Decoys of the Pacific Coast by Miller and Hanson.

Price: $2450
