Frank Mattie Pintail Drake

Solid carved pintail drake by Frank Mattie (Antioch, CA) ca. 1930s. This is the “jack-tail” design as referenced on page 441 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller. The paint is nicely done at a later date with skilled combing. I believe the head to be a later replacement. Measures 18” in length.
