Mario Marchi (Martinez, CA) is one of few early California decoy makers who made an amazing transition from early workable decoys to the pinnacle of decorative carvings such as this hollow carved pintail pair signed and dated 1985. Mint and all original condition. These are among the finest examples by this talented carver that I’ve ever offered. The drake measures 20” in length and the hen is 15”.
