Martin Humphreys Canvasback Drake

Solid carved redwood canvasback drake by Martin Humphreys (San Francisco, CA) ca. 1915. See page 355 of Wildfowl Decoys of California for a similar example. Measures just over 13” in length. I can’t be certain, but I suspect the head is either repainted or done at a later date due to the inconsistent wear between the body and the head.
