Pappy Kidwell Mallard Drake

Excellent and all original paint on this great mallard drake by Harold “Pappy” Kidwell (Berkeley, CA) ca. 1950s. Solid carved redwood with inserted boxwood wingtips, rubber tail curls and glass eyes. See page 280 of Wildfowl Decoys of California by Michael Miller for a similar example. Measures 17” in length.
